Los Angeles, CA — Fear of God announces the release of its NBA Essentials Fall 2025 collection, a continued exploration of the intersection between sport, style, and culture. This season, the house collaborates with Los Angeles–based multidisciplinary artist Jacob Rochester, presenting a series of artworks that visually narrate the enduring influence of basketball beyond the court.
Rooted in the spirit of the game, Rochester’s work channels what he describes as “an attitude that is an extension of the game itself.” Through painterly textures and cinematic composition, he captures the personal and collective expressions that define basketball’s cultural landscape—moments shared in the bleachers, the effortless off-court style, and the emotional nuances that color the experience of community.
“I’ve always been drawn to depicting basketball culture outside of play—the energy of downtime, friendship, and style,” says Rochester. “These moments are just as much a part of the game as what happens on the court. I wanted the artwork to feel warm, familiar, and accessible to everyone, whether or not they come from basketball culture.”
Referencing late ’90s and early 2000s aesthetics—from oversized draft-day suits to post-game press moments—Rochester reinterprets these iconic visuals through a contemporary lens. The result is a series that bridges eras, highlighting the timeless influence of player style and individuality.
“Players naturally create cultural moments, often without even trying,” Rochester adds. “From tunnel fits to casual off-duty looks, their self-expression shapes fashion and identity in ways that go far beyond the game.”
The Fear of God x NBA Essentials Fall 2025 collection continues the brand’s commitment to capturing the spirit of American luxury through authenticity, community, and cultural storytelling.
