New Balance has unveiled the latest evolution of its football boot, the 442 v3, blending the brand’s deep sporting heritage with a refined, lifestyle-inspired aesthetic.
Designed for players who appreciate a timeless silhouette without sacrificing modern performance, the 442 v3 features a premium microfiber upper known as TrueTouch Tech, delivering enhanced ball feel and control. A streamlined, low-profile construction offers reliable support, while the quilted upper nods to both classic football boots and New Balance’s lifestyle designs. Stability is improved through a molded heel, and the updated soleplate is engineered for greater responsiveness and long-lasting durability on the pitch.
According to Luc Fusaro, New Balance’s Global Design Director for Football, the 442 v3 stays true to the spirit of the original model while establishing a clearer, more confident identity. The result is a thoughtful balance of heritage and innovation, tailored to the pace and demands of the modern game.
The 442 v3 made its debut in Japan on December 12, 2025, releasing in a limited sea salt, pearl, and gold colorway, before rolling out globally on December 13. Additional color options, including black, white, and gold combinations, are set to arrive in early 2026. The boot will be available through select retailers and online.
