Kenzo Autumn/Winter 2025 Campaign — “Cross-Town Kenzo”

Words by kojojumah

For Fall/Winter 2025, Kenzo and Artistic Director Nigo turn to New York City as both stage and subject. The campaign, titled “Cross-Town Kenzo,” bridges the brand’s men’s and women’s collections through a shared narrative set against the city’s dynamic streetscape. At its center are two characters: an uptown man with a preppy edge and a free-spirited woman from the Lower East Side.

Shot by legendary street photographer Bruce Gilden, the campaign bears his unmistakable flash-lit aesthetic—raw, immediate, and distinctly urban. The rhythm of his images is mirrored in an accompanying film by creative collective Little Legs, whose fast-cut sequences capture the momentum of the city and its protagonists in motion.

Tailoring anchors the story. Menswear moves from kimono-inspired jackets in soft neutrals to statement coats in bold hues and tactile finishes, while womenswear plays with plush fabrics, graphic knits, and boxy gilets. The vivid use of color pays homage to Kenzo Takada, the house’s founder, while textures inject playful energy into winter essentials.

Ultimately, the campaign is a meditation on duality: uptown and downtown, structure and spontaneity, contrast and connection. Through character and craft, “Cross-Town Kenzo” captures the vibrant spirit that defines the collection as a whole.
