A Fresh Pour Guinness x JW Anderson Return-07

Guinness and JW Anderson raise another pint together with a second collaborative collection, building on the success of their 2024 debut. This time the partnership expands significantly, growing from four original pieces to a 17-piece offering. At its heart remains a shared celebration of Irish heritage, craft and the enduring cultural ritual of the pub — a space long associated with warmth, conversation and community. Fronting the new campaign are actor Joe Alwyn and musician Little Simz.

The collection draws heavily from workwear, particularly vintage uniforms once worn by Guinness brewery staff. Denim sits at the centre of the range, with chore jackets, dungarees and JW Anderson’s recognisable twisted jeans blending practicality with a refined, contemporary edge. A crisp white shirt features a poem originally printed in a 1938 Guinness advertisement, nodding to the brand’s long-standing relationship with creativity, storytelling and design.

Elsewhere, the textures and visual language of the traditional pub are translated into clothing. Bar towels and pub carpets inspire intricate jacquards, embroidery and appliqué across the collection. A towelling jacket and matching shorts reinterpret the familiar Guinness beer mat as a wearable textile concept.

One of the standout pieces, the Guinness Gradient Jumper, uses intarsia knitting to recreate the visual moment when a pint settles — dark stout beneath a creamy head. Crafted from a soft alpaca blend, the knit subtly mirrors the texture and richness of the drink itself.

For JW Anderson founder Jonathan Anderson, Guinness has long been an enduring design reference. He describes the brand’s graphic identity as instantly recognisable, culturally resonant and surprisingly sophisticated. This collaboration, he explains, offered an opportunity to reinterpret that heritage through JW Anderson’s own lens of craft, material and contemporary design.
