adidas and Metalwood Studio Launch Y2K-Inspired Golf Capsule

adidas and Metalwood Studio have teamed up for their first collaborative golf collection, blending performance heritage with street-driven style. The limited capsule channels the bold, unapologetic attitude of Y2K fashion, merging golf tradition with influences from skateboarding and contemporary streetwear.

The six-piece lineup includes a polo, windbreaker, pants, hat, glove, and a standout MC70 golf shoe. The footwear draws design cues from ’90s football boots and 1970s stitching details, reimagined with modern technology for on-course performance. A highlight apparel piece is a ventilated golf pant featuring zippered leg openings that reveal signature 3-Stripe detailing, while the polo subtly references early-2000s Teamgeist aesthetics.

According to adidas Golf’s Global Director of Apparel Shaun Madigan, the collaboration builds on the brand’s growing crossover between sport, fashion, and skate culture, following the success of past projects that connected these communities. Metalwood founder Cole Young adds that the partnership balances adidas’ iconic sports legacy with Metalwood’s nostalgic design language.

The launch is supported by a campaign film following a foursome racing to make their tee time, featuring appearances from athletes Collin Morikawa and Nora Vasconcellos.

The capsule releases in limited quantities beginning February 19 at metalwood.studio, and February 20 at 8 a.m. local time via the CONFIRMED app, adidas.com, and select retailers.
