Skepta and Puma Unveil Refined Monochrome Capsule

Skepta and Puma reunite for a stripped-back capsule collection that emphasizes form, fabric, and restraint. Centered around the Skope Forever Low sneaker, the black-on-black lineup rejects loud graphics and colors in favor of subtlety, structure, and material depth. The two-part release begins August 9–10, 2025, with an exclusive drop at the Big Smoke Festival in London, followed by a global launch on August 14 via Puma’s website and select retailers.

The collection is tight and focused, featuring a heavyweight hoodie, t-shirt, and cap. Each item is crafted with a deliberate emphasis on construction and silhouette. Dense cotton fabrics give the hoodie and tee a sculpted presence, while the cap carries utilitarian sharpness in its design. All three pieces include a custom co-branded badge—stitched rather than printed—serving as the only visible branding. The result is apparel that feels cohesive, essential, and purpose-built.

Rather than compete for attention, each piece supports the next. The design philosophy throughout is uniform: reduce visual noise, elevate tactile experience. Every detail is considered—from stitching to fabric weight—ensuring the garments communicate intention through material, not embellishment.

At the center of the capsule sits the Skope Forever Low sneaker. Crafted from smooth black leather, the shoe strips away traditional branding in favor of minimalism. The Formstrip is reduced to a single line of stitching; the tongue features a silver badge, and rope laces connect to a rugged hiking-style sole. Small contrast tabs provide subtle variation, enhancing dimension without disrupting the monochrome palette. The sneaker reflects the same values as the clothing—utilitarian, considered, and elevated through detail.

More than just a standout silhouette, the Skope Forever Low is a natural extension of the apparel. Its leather upper mirrors the hoodie’s dense cotton; its rope laces echo the stitching on the cap’s badge. Together, the collection feels engineered from a single design language—each piece distinct, but clearly drawn from the same blueprint.

By committing to an all-black palette, Skepta and Puma shift focus entirely to shape, texture, and construction. The absence of contrast becomes the statement. Launching first in a live setting at Big Smoke grounds the collection in Skepta’s broader creative world, before extending it globally through Puma’s platform and retail partners starting August 14.
